Fujii: Takashi. In this article, we will explain which platform (LMS) you should use if you want to start an online course
You're worried. There are many platforms around the world.
Famous platforms that can run online courses are Kajabi, Teachable, and Thinkific. Many Japan lecturers and entrepreneurs use this platform.
Now, there are various platforms that can offer online courses. On the other hand, there are so many options that you don't know what to use.
Therefore, I will explain the online course platforms I recommend for entrepreneurs.
Recommended systems and tools for online courses

Let me conclude first. If you want to start online courses with confidence, we recommend Teachable and Kajabi.
The reason is
- Many Japan users
- A lot of information
- High sustainability of the company
- Easy to understand development stance
- There is a sense of stability
- Clear prices
Even entrepreneurs and lecturers in Japan use Kajabi and Teachable a lot.
Entrepreneurs who are familiar with English-speaking marketing tools are introducing them on YouTube and blogs, so everyone is using these two with confidence.
In particular, I emphasize three things: clarity, stability, and the amount of information.
Teachable and Kajabi have clear fee structures and operators, and there are many customers around the world, so it is unlikely that the company will go out of business due to financial difficulties, and there is a wealth of information available on the Internet.
Whichever one you take, these two platforms stand out from the rest.
If you want to offer online courses as a business, Teachable and Kajabi will not fail (I am also a former user). I'll talk about why I'm not using it now.)
However, Kajabi costs about 16,000 yen per month.
Although it is not very expensive, there will be entrepreneurs who do not yet have the funds to invest in the platform.
What I am currently using to run online courses isHeights Platformis.
Sell Online Courses on Udemy

In that caseUdemyIt is recommended to use. Udemy is free to sign up and use. If you want to start an online course for free, you can use Udemy.
Udemy is a platform with 40 million learning people worldwide. There are many users, so it is easy to sell even for beginners.
In Japan, Benesse is cooperating as a business partner. There is also a sense of security that the major education company is a business partner.
Udemy fees
Udemy is easy to sell online courses even for beginners, but it charges a fee. When an online course sells, a minimum of 4% ~ a maximum of 75% commission will be taken.
If the instructor sells the online course himself, there is a 4% commission. This will lower the fee.
Udemy advertises. If your online course sells through advertising, you will receive a commission of up to 75%.
Depending on how you sell it, even if the course sells, most of it will be taken to Udemy. You need to pay attention to that point.
But even including the high fees, Udemy is attractive.
It depends on how you use it. Udemy has high fees, but it's great if you're selling for low-priced front-end products. There is a high possibility that you can earn tens of thousands of yen per month as a side job.
These three options are Teachable, Kajabi, and Udemy. Offering online courses with these is one of the options.
3 points to consider when choosing an online course platform
There are three points that I focus on when choosing an online course platform.
First of all, the platform for online courses should not be determined only by the monthly fee. It will definitely fail.
The reason I recommend Kajabi, which has a not so cheap monthly fee, is because I don't want it to fail. Why you shouldn't decide on the price will be explained later.
First, let's start with the first point of choosing an online course platform.
(1) Company financial strength/number of customers

First of all,Financial Strengthis. Please take a look at the financial strength of the online course platform.
Specifically, how many users of online courses are there in the world? How much money does it continue to come in? Where is the support you get?
If there are few users of an online course platform, there is a high possibility that the operating company will go out of business. The money that comes into the company is small, so you can't run it.
Here's why I recommend Kajabi and Teachable. There are many users around the world who continue both monthly. Therefore, the risk of the company going out of business within 5 years is also low.
(2) Amount of information

The second point to look at is"Amount of information"is.
If you look up the name of the online course platform on the Internet, how much information will you find?
This is very important. Is there information circulating on the Internet?
How many people are mentioning the online course platform, such as whether there are review videos on YouTube or user testimonials on Twitter and Facebook?
Just by looking it up on the Internet, you can see how much information there is.
Be careful of minor online course platforms that do not come up even if you look it up on the Internet.
(3) Past reputation

And the third point to look at is"Past reputation"is.
When I start an online course, I look at the past reputation of the company that runs the platform.
If the company has scammed in the past or the products it sold in the past had a bad reputation, the platform can also be dangerous.
You can't start an online course with peace of mind. There is a possibility that the business will suddenly go out of business or the operating company will fly away.
Choose the system that runs your online course carefully.
In this article, we have explained which online course platform to choose to start your online course business from scratch.
Here are three more points to consider when doing so.
- Financial Strength
- Amount of information
- Past reputation
Listen to it as just a fact. I have used online course platforms around the world. As I write this, I'm still trying out new platforms.
Some online course platforms are worse than many people imagine.
The image below is a screenshot of a discussion with the founder of such a platform.

It's full of mosaics, but at the end I say, "It's already quite a hassle."
I will not talk about the origin of such trouble here. I don't like to make a fuss. There are platforms in the world that make me say, "Wait a minute."
Suddenly the function becomes unusable, the data is blown away, and the lie is calm.
If possible, I would like you who are reading this article to start an online course business without such stress.
By the way, the online course platform that should be avoided the most in this world is below.

Please avoid this platform at all costs. I affirm.
In order to avoid falling victim to these scams, we have introduced how to choose a stable and easy-to-use online course platform.
At least Kajabi, Teachable,UdemyDon't worry about that. The most reassuring.
One key to this online course business is which platform you choose. Please refer to it.
Oh, and if you are a sole proprietor who has not yet launched an online course, please take a look at the article below.
